Strawberry Fields
claims to be a cute little B&B right in the middle of Brighton - and that's
exactly what it is!
From the outside, it's ""typical seaside B&B"" with a lovely big grass area
front and parking right outside. The checkin was pleasant and the staff
delightful. The room was a reasonable size, bed comfortable, and the cute little
strawberry ""hugs"" (see pic) really brighten up the room and you can't help but
smile when you first see them. The view from the room was fantastic - of the
grass area and of the sea. Sitting on the Chaise lounge in the bay window,
bathed in sunlight, with a view of the sea whilst reading you did feel quite
relaxed! The bathroom was basic, but functional.
The hotel is very close to the centre of Brighton, which means 2 things: 1)
parking is a nightmare, and 2) it's right next to the station! Lots to do around
there, so entertainment is guaranteed.
In the morning the breakfast was choice of a bacon baguette or a salmon/cheese
roll. Hmmm.. after we politely left it on the side we found that really great
breakfasts could be had a short walk away for not much cash and with great
views.
Really lovely place & would recommend it. However, it is cheap so your
expectations should be at a reasonable level. One tip though: Don't bring a car
- take the train!!
